Details:

At GSK, we have opportunities for a number of Pre-Registration pharmacists, i.e. graduates wishing to complete their professional training year within the Pharmaceutical Industry. Your placement will comprise a 6 month training period at our state of the art research and development laboratories or manufacturing facilities in Hertfordshire and the remaining 6 months via links with our community partners.

During the placement you will cover all of the GPhC competencies. In addition, you will start to develop other transferable skills such as time management, presentation and communication skills. Overall, the year aims to develop you into a high quality, well rounded pharmacist.

Throughout your placement, whether in industry or community you will contribute to the running of the pharmacy, product development or manufacturing teams. For your industry placement, you will be placed in a team and assist in the development of an active compound. In addition, you will attend locally organised study days with other pre-registration pharmacists gaining knowledge through group training sessions.
